Job Overview

Consultant Physician - Pediatric Hematology Oncology in Dubai, الإمارات العربية المتحدة is a senior Hospital and Health Care opportunity for an experienced pediatric hematology and oncology physician skilled in diagnosing, treating, and managing childhood cancers and blood disorders. This role will deliver advanced cancer care, lead multidisciplinary treatment planning, support families through complex clinical journeys, and contribute to quality improvement, teaching, and evidence-based pediatric specialty services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and manage pediatric hematologic and oncologic conditions, including leukemia, lymphoma, solid tumors, anemia, clotting disorders, and other blood diseases
  • Develop individualized treatment plans using patient history, diagnostic findings, clinical protocols, and evidence-based pediatric oncology standards
  • Administer and oversee chemotherapy, immunotherapy, transfusion therapy, supportive care, and complication management
  • Monitor patient progress, treatment response, side effects, and potential complications, adjusting care plans when clinically required
  • Coordinate care with pediatricians, surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, pharmacists, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals
  • Provide clear counselling, education, and emotional support to children, adolescents, and families throughout diagnosis, treatment, recovery, and follow‑up
  • Use advanced diagnostic tools and medical technologies to improve treatment accuracy and patient outcomes
  • Participate in tumor boards, multidisciplinary case reviews, departmental meetings, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Stay updated with developments in pediatric hematology, pediatric oncology, cancer treatments, clinical guidelines, and research
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records in line with UAE healthcare standards and hospital requirements
  • Support teaching, mentoring, and professional development of junior medical staff when required
  • Contribute to clinical research, academic activities, and evidence-based service development where applicable
Ideal Profile
  • Medical degree such as MBBS, MD, or equivalent from a recognized institution
  • Completion of specialty training in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology
  • Recognized qualification such as UK Certificate of Completion of Training, American Board Certification, Canadian Board Certification, or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of post‑board experience in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology
  • Valid UAE healthcare license or eligibility is preferred
  • Strong expertise in pediatric cancer care, hematologic disorders, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, transfusion therapy, and advanced treatment protocols
  • Experience in bone marrow transplantation or advanced pediatric oncology treatments is preferred
  • Background in internationally accredited hospitals or tertiary healthcare centers is an advantage
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and clinical decision‑making skills
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach toward pediatric patients and families
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced multidisciplinary healthcare environment
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, while Arabic language skills are an advantage
  • Strong commitment to evidence-based medicine, patient-centered care, research, teaching, and continuous professional development
