Job Description

JOB PURPOSE: Provide technical support and maintain الشركة drilling applications for well planning, BHA optimization, and real‑time drilling performance. Ensure safe and efficient operations through accurate engineering analysis and digital workflows. Additionally, manage collision avoidance planning and real‑time collision monitoring, and prepare comprehensive end‑of‑well reports that capture performance analysis, lessons learned, and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities

• Adhere to safety protocols, environmental standards, operational guidelines, and الشركة policies.
• Prepare well plans, engineering calculations, and integrated pre‑well planning programs.
• Implement collision avoidance planning using industry‑standard anti‑collision rules and الشركة guidelines.
• Monitor real‑time wellbore المنصبing and apply corrective actions to prevent well‑to‑well interference during drilling.
• Perform torque & drag, hydraulics, and vibration modelling for complex wells.
• Provide technical assistance during drilling operations.
• Maintain engineering documentation on the الشركة server for easy access and knowledge sharing.
• Prepare post‑well performance reviews, end‑of‑well reports, and lessons‑learned reports.
• Offer technical guidance on BHA design, hydraulics, torque & drag, and vibration mitigation.
• Support operations with planning, engineering, and optimization.
• Model drilling performance using simulation software.
• Recommend tools and technologies for improved efficiency.
• Analyze offset wells data and operational KPIs.

Internal Communication & Working Relationship

• Maintain consistent daily communication with teams within the Drilling Services Division, including up to Manager level, to gather information on business processes, operational requirements, and technical updates.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams, planning units, and operations support groups to ensure alignment on well planning, BHA optimization, collision avoidance, and real‑time monitoring.
• Maintain regular engagement with customers through scheduled visits and proactive communication to strengthen relationships and obtain critical operational insights.

External Engagement

• Conduct regular customer visits and maintain proactive communication with clients to address technical queries and share performance updates.
• Occasionally contact service providers to explore, examine, and discuss technical insights and new drilling technologies.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & SkillsMinimum Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

• 3+ years of experience in drilling engineering or applications.
• Knowledge of well planning & engineering principles and software.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
