The Role – Job description
- Represent areas of knowledge, understanding and skills to students.

Teaching
- Plan and prepare schemes of work and planning documentation.
- Teach effectively with attention to individual educational needs.
- Set and mark work across on-site and remote formats as appropriate.
- Promote students’ intellectual, moral, personal and social development and provide guidance on learning matters.
- Keep records of students’ personal and social development.
- Participate in school development and share best practice.
- Be research-informed and wellbeing-aware; apply strategies that impact classroom practice and student outcomes.
- Assess, record and report on student progress; provide evaluations and references as needed.
- Guide students to set targets and provide regular feedback for next steps.
Continuing Professional Development
- Regularly review teaching methods and programmes.
- Be proactive about own development and participate in further training.
Curriculum Development
- Advise on courses of study, teaching materials, schemes, methods and assessment.
- Take responsibility for specific subjects and embed UAE heritage and culture within the curriculum.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Education: Relevant UK teaching qualification: minimum of a Bed. or BA/BSc + PGCE/QTS in a relevant subject
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of full-time teaching in a British school (internationally or in the UK). Must be able to teach iGCSE and A-level Sciences.
- Excellent working knowledge of the UK Curriculum and latest UK practice.
- Strong IT and communication skills; proficient in English (spoken and written).
- Collaborative team player with good interpersonal skills.
- Classroom and behaviour management.
