JOB PURPOSE: Provide technical expertise in the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, overhaul and shutdowns to maintainrotating equipment effectively and efficiently to achieve high degree of availability, reliability and integrity forplant production. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Maintenance Planning, Execution and Expertise• Supervise the installation, maintenance, repair, trouble shooting and modification activities of rotatingequipment in the plant to ensure safe and efficient services.• Review preventive maintenance plans / schedules and prepare task list / maintenance programmes forrotating equipment in the plant and supervise the execution of such programmes.• Provide guidance and advice on actions to be taken on chronic problems, and review requirement formajor repair and spares replacements to ensure that all equipment is in accordance with internationallyrecognized engineering standard.• Participate in Risk Assessment exercises and prepare recommendations and guidelines to address themitigations and controls.• Ensure availability of spares, coordinate and follow-up new material orders. Create new proposal forstocking spares (PFS) mainly for new equipment, create item change request, spare parts control, anddelete unwanted inventories from the stock.• Prepare new maintenance procedures, method statement for new activities and schedule long termactivities as per plant shutdown schedules.• Plan and coordinate maintenance activities with other departments and sections to optimize theutilization of section manpower and to plan and control the major & minor shutdown activities andexpenditures.• Provide technical support for development, implementation and commissioning of new projects in themechanical design and specifications to optimize costs and ensure compliance with applicablestandards and best practices.• Prepare new plant change requests (PCR), study the proposed PCR for implementation and work outplans and schedules for implementing them.• Participate in HAZOP review and SIL validation meetings.• Carry out study for major rotating equipment frequent failures and provide recommendations.• Participate in RCA for incidents related to rotating equipment and provide findings andrecommendations. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Minimum Qualification• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Professional Qualification.Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills• 8 years of experience in engineering and maintenance of Rotating equipment within a large industrialorganization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.• Extensive experience in rotating equipment design, engineering, construction and maintenance andoperation in the oil and gas industry.• Familiarity of international design codes and standards, you will have the ability to prepare design,procurement, construction, (pre) commissioning and hand-over specification packages for rotatingequipment• Familiarity of the capabilities and shortcomings of major rotating equipment manufacturers, and aproven track record of conducting technical and commercial negotiations with them• Knowledge of HSE procedures & practices• Planning and Organising, Scheduling and Coordinating, Checking, Examining and Recording
