Job Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced and creative Head Chef/Kitchen Manager from Mediterranean/International cuisine to lead our culinary team. The Head Chef/Kitchen Manager will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, menu planning, food preparation, and ensuring exceptional culinary experiences for our guests.
Job Description:
- Create innovative, high-quality menus and recipes, or adapt existing recipes to elevate menu offerings that align with the restaurants standards.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes and standards, maintaining consistency in taste, and presentation.
- Hiring, training, and supervising kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants.
- Conducting performance evaluations, providing feedback, and addressing any performance issues or training needs.
- Monitor food production to minimize waste, maintain cost efficiency while upholding food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Monitoring sales trends and customer feedback to make data-driven decisions regarding menu adjustments and promotions.
- Work closely with management to achieve budgetary goals while maintaining quality.
- Collaborate with purchasing and suppliers to procure high-quality ingredients within budgetary constraints.
- Implementing cost-saving measures and strategies to maximize profitability without compromising on food quality.
- Coordinating with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth flow of food orders and timely service to customers while maintaining food quality.
- Maintain inventory levels and oversee proper storage and rotation of food supplies.
- Stay updated on industry trends and culinary techniques, continually enhancing the restaurants menu offerings and guest experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and optimal working condition of all equipment through regular personal inspections, adherence to restaurant cleaning protocols, and compliance with preventative maintenance schedules.
- Responsible for cross-training and new product launches and ensuring that standards are followed and maintained.
Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum 2-5 years of proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant.
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and kitchen management best practices.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with ability to motivate and mentor kitchen staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good command of English. Arabic will be an advantage
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
