Job Description:

We seek a highly motivated and experienced Authority Liaison Architect to join our dynamic team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience working in an engineering consultancy environment in Dubai, with extensive experience in liaising with local authorities to secure necessary project approvals. The candidate will be critical in managing all aspects of authority approvals and ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Authority Liaison: Serves as the primary contact between the company and various regulatory bodies (e.g., e.g., Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense, RTA, DEWA, Trakhees, Dubai Development Authority, Nakheel, JAFZA, Tecom & DCCA, DSO, DSC, etc.) to obtain necessary approvals and permits for projects.
• Documentation and Submissions: Prepares, reviews, and submits all necessary documents, drawings, and reports to relevant authorities to ensure timely project approvals.
• Compliance and Regulations: Ensures all project designs and documents comply with local building codes, standards, and regulations. Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory requirements and communicate these effectively to the project teams.
• Coordination and Collaboration: Works closely with project managers, structural engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to incorporate regulatory requirements into the project planning and execution.
• Issue Resolution: Identifies potential issues with authority approvals and coordinates with internal teams to provide required clarifications or modifications to ensure compliance.
• Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key personnel in various regulatory authorities to facilitate a smooth approval process.
• Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all submissions and approvals and provide regular updates to the management team on the status of approvals and any potential delays.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience working in an engineering consultancy environment in Dubai, specifically in a role involving authority liaison and regulatory compliance.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Dubais building codes, regulations, and approval processes. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant architectural and engineering software.
• Language Skills: Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; proficiency in Arabic is highly advantageous.
• Certifications: A professional engineering license or registration (e.g., UAE Society of Engineers) is preferred but not mandatory.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with regulatory bodies and project stakeholders.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to review project documents and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
• Active UAE Driving license
