Job Purpose

To provide expert consulting and training services in strategic planning, business excellence frameworks (e.g., EFQM, DGEP), and innovation management. The consultant-tutor will guide organizations in improving performance, achieving operational excellence, and fostering a culture of innovation. The role combines hands-on consultancy with the delivery of structured learning programs to build internal capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Consulting:

• Support organizations in developing, reviewing, and implementing strategic plans aligned with national visions (e.g., UAE Vision 2031).
• Facilitate strategic analysis (SWOT, PESTLE, Balanced Scorecard, KPIs, etc.).
• Assist in cascading strategic objectives into operational plans and performance frameworks.

Business Excellence:

• Assess organizational performance using excellence models such as EFQM, DGEP, or SCAT.
• Conduct internal assessments, benchmarking, and gap analyses.
• Design improvement initiatives to align with excellence criteria and award frameworks.

Innovation Enablement:

• Train teams in innovation tools (e.g., design thinking, TRIZ, foresight, idea management).
• Build innovation ecosystems and roadmaps in alignment with global best practices.
• Support digital transformation and smart service initiatives.

Training & Capacity Building:

• Deliver engaging training programs, workshops, and simulations in strategy, excellence, and innovation.
• Develop customized learning content for different audiences (executives, managers, officers).
• Mentor and coach employees in applying learned concepts in real-world projects.

Research & Thought Leadership:

• Stay updated with global excellence frameworks, innovation trends, and strategic governance.
• Contribute to white papers, reports, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Strategic Management, Public Policy, or related field.
• Certified EFQM Assessor / Business Excellence Consultant / Innovation Practitioner is preferred.
• Strategic Planning or Balanced Scorecard certification is an advantage.

Experience:

• 7+ years of combined experience in strategy development, excellence assessments, and innovation initiatives.
• Proven track record in delivering training and consultancy projects across government or large private sector organizations.
• Experience with Dubai Government Excellence Program (DGEP), Abu Dhabi Excellence, or similar initiatives is a plus.

Key Skills:

• Deep knowledge of EFQM, Balanced Scorecard, KPIs, OKRs, strategic foresight, and innovation tools.
• Strong facilitation, coaching, and public speaking skills.
• Analytical and structured thinking with problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to handle government clients and work with senior leadership.

Preferred Attributes:

• Familiarity with UAE Federal and Local Government strategic systems.
• Bilingual (Arabic and English) is a Must.
• Capable of managing multiple stakeholders and customizing content to different industries (e.g., health, education, transport, finance).
