Florist Assistant

Job Overview

We are looking for a Florist Assistant to support daily operations in a busy flower shop. You will assist in preparing flower arrangements, managing inventory, and ensuring the shop remains clean and organized. This role requires attention to detail, a passion for flowers, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in arranging bouquets and floral displays under the guidance of senior florists.
• Prepare and condition flowers by trimming, hydrating, and storing them properly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including tools and storage areas.
• Greet and assist customers, helping them select flowers and arrangements.
• Wrap bouquets and process customer orders for in-store purchases, deliveries, and events.
• Monitor flower inventory, restock supplies, and discard wilted or damaged flowers.
• Assist with shop displays and seasonal decorations.
• Handle basic cashier duties, including processing payments.
• Support the team with event preparations and on-site floral installations when needed.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a florist shop is a plus but not required.
• Basic knowledge of flowers and floral care.
• Strong attention to detail and creativity.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift flower buckets.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to work weekends and peak seasons (e.g., Valentines Day, Mothers Day).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, ContractContract length: 24 months

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month

• Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
