Your mission

As Assistant Resident Engineer Electrical (Substation) in our Transmission & Distribution department you will support the Resident Engineer in supervising the execution of substation electrical works. You will ensure that all activities are carried out in compliance with contract documents drawings method statements and safety requirements. Your role will include site inspections contractor coordination and support during testing certification and project handover.

Your key responsibilities
  • Assist the Resident Engineer in day-to-day supervision of electrical works for substations.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor the contractors work progress.
  • Liaise with all technical disciplines and attend Site Technical Coordination Meetings.
  • Review contractor submissions shop drawings and construction-related documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with approved method statements layouts and drawings.
  • Witness site activities inspections and testing as per project requirements.
  • Support the Resident Engineer during final inspections completion certification and handover of works.
  • Ensure proper implementation of site safety measures.
Your qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (approved by UAE regulatory authorities).
  • Minimum 8 years experience in electrical engineering projects in the UAE including substations.
Who you are
  • Strong technical knowledge of high-voltage substation construction and supervision.
  • Skilled in site supervision contractor coordination and review of technical submissions.
  • Familiar with UAE utility and authority standards.
Your soft skills
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities.
  • Detail-oriented proactive and safety-conscious mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments.
Preference
  • Prior experience with TRANSCO ADDC DEWA or other major UAE utilities will be highly preferred.
